Chip passed away on 29 May 2004. He was a special friend and classmate for me not only at Central Bucks, but also Doylestown Borough Elementary and Lehigh University. He was a fellow Scout and probably the smartest in any of his classes, going on to a PhD at the University of Massachusetts. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and at the time of his death was a weapons systems analyst designing advanced weaponry being used in Iraq. He was married to Tok Sun and had two daughters and four grandchildren. I have many vivid memories of Chip, but the most memorable was the time when we were building and launching rockets and narrowly missed his mother on one rocket's descent.
How very sad it is to hope to discover on this 50th reunion website a long lost special friend then discover he has left us. Chip was one of my dearest friends in high school. I marvelled at his skill in the basement pool room of his home. I remember going to a high schoool graduation party at Pearl Buck's estate and laughing together like two crazies. Six years later, as fate has it, we discovered each other in a library at Ft. Gordon GA where we were both in different advanced training programs of the US Army. We spent a weekend pass in Augusta and it was like old times, and it turned out the last time we ever met. I wish Chip well, where ever he now is.
