We shared a classroom or two in D-town and answered our country’s call in different uniforms, but with the same sense of duty.

Jim’s path through the Green Berets, the mines of the American West, and a lifetime of devotion to his family speaks volumes of the man he was—quiet strength, unwavering purpose, and a life fully lived. You carried the weight and walked the line.  Our classmates and fellow veterans salute you.

He left the field with honor, just as he entered it. Rest well, Jim.

Mike

Jim Mike, which is what we called him the old days, was another Doyleston Boro great.  We were in Scouts together and his father was a Scout leader, so I spent many hours with him at his house.  He represented the Scout laws well-- especially the loyal, helpful, and friendly laws.  The last time I spent one-on-one time with him was in the early seventies.  We were both visiting Doylestown and ran into each other at a bar.  We shared Vietnam stories over a beer and relived the earlier memories of CB and Camp Ockanickon.  Rest in peace, my friend.
